Privacy Policy

Last updated October 18, 2026

Plinket is a music player for your own Navidrome or Subsonic server. It doesn't collect, share or sell any data about you. There are no accounts, analytics, ads or tracking.

What stays on your device

To sign you in, Plinket stores your server address and username on your device, and your password in the system Keychain. It also keeps a cache of your library and cover art, your playback queue, and any plays still waiting to be sent to your server. All of this stays on your device and is removed when you sign out or delete the app.

What goes to your server

Plinket only talks to the server you sign in to. It sends that server the requests needed to browse and play your music, the songs you play (scrobbles) and the albums and songs you mark as favorites. Your password is never sent; Plinket signs in with a token derived from it. Plinket connects over HTTPS, except to a server on your local network that you enter with an http:// address. What your server does with this information is up to whoever runs it.

Local network

If your server is on your local network, iOS and macOS ask for permission to connect to it. Plinket uses that permission only to reach your server.

Crash reports

If you choose to share analytics with Apple in your device settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports with the developer. Plinket itself sends nothing.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
